Introduction

R:Twain2PDF is a compact utility program placed into a easy to use interface for gathering JPG images and TWAIN sources to produce PDF documents. You can select from a list of available TWAIN sources or from a scanner to capture images. R:Twain2PDF uses the TWAIN driver which is included with your scanner or TWAIN device, and not the actual product software. Image compression options for R:Twain2PDF include Flate and Jpeg.

The PDF Document Properties allow users to add document information to the output. R:Twain2PDF supports encryption level option for 40 bit, 128 bit, 128 bit AES, and 256 bit AES. Permissions may be assigned for users to print, modify the document structure, copy information from the document, and modify annotations. Several Page Layout, Page Mode, and Viewer Preferences are available.

Being fully compatible with R:BASE, R:Twain2PDF includes a Plugin for automation of scanning documents within your R:BASE applications. Or, you can use the graphic user interface to quickly create secure PDF documents.
