The Report Designer Preview WHERE Clause option allows a WHERE Clause to be entered and applied to the preview results. The specified WHERE Clause replaces the default display limit (100 records) for the preview results. The WHERE Builder is available to define the criteria, with a WHERE History of previous statements. WHERE Clauses can also be tested. The Preview WHERE Clause can be launched with the [Ctrl+Shift+P] hot key combination.
While in the WHERE memo control, press [F5] or the "WHERE History" button to see the previous WHERE statements. The WHERE history is the same history when you press [F5] in the WHERE Form when running reports from the Database Explorer.
The Preview WHERE Clause allows users to enter a WHERE Clause to be applied to the preview; as the default preview display may not represent the development and testing needs.
