The "Reports" section of the Database Explorer provides menu options to manage your R:BASE database reports.
•New Report... - creates a new report. Selecting this option will prompt you with a dialog to enter necessary information to create a new report. •Run Report... - runs the selected report. Selecting this option will prompt you with a dialog to choose how you want to print your report. •Design Report... - opens the selected report in the Report Designer for editing •Copy Report... - copies the selected report to a new report •Rename Report... - renames the selected report to a new name •Delete Report(s)... - deletes the selected report(s) •Convert Report(s)... - converts R:BASE Windows and DOS report(s). Selecting this option will display a list of reports that have not yet been converted. For more information on converting reports from prior versions of R:BASE, refer to the R:BASE Database Conversion Guide (PDF) located in the R:BASE program directory. •Unload Report(s) - unloads one or more selected reports into a report file (.rpt). Each unloaded report file is accompanied with a large object data file (.lob). A single unloaded report includes the database name, report name, and report version number in the file name. •Unload Report(s) (Multi-file)... - unloads one or more selected reports, where each report is placed into separate report (.rpt) and large object data (.lob) files. Each unloaded report includes the database name, report name, and report version number in the file name. •Load Report(s) - loads R:BASE report file(s) in the database. The default R:BASE report file extension is "rpt". Each report file is accompanied with a "lob" file with the same name. •Compress Report(s) - compresses the selected report(s) to decrease the size •Uncompress Report(s) - uncompresses the selected report(s) •Change Comment... - alters the comment for the selected report •Reset Version Number... - alters the version number for the selected report •EEP Quick Peek - opens a temporary file in R:BASE Editor containing all EEP code for the selected report •EEP Quick Edit... - launches the EEP Map utility where EEPs may be reviewed and modified for the selected report •Save EEP To Folder... - saves all EEP code for the selected report to a file (ReportName.EEP). Prior to saving, a prompt for the destination folder will be displayed. •Find... - provides search utility to locate specific text in reports: oFind in Custom EEPs... [Ctrl]+[F] oFind in Control Properties... [Ctrl]+[L] oFind in Expressions... [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[F] •Refresh - refreshes the report list in the right pane of the Database Explorer •Help - opens the Database Explorer Help
